What interested you most about the Spencer Frye Fellowship Program?

I was interested in the Spencer Frye Fellowship Program because I loved the idea of getting involved and getting experience at the state level with students of my age with similar interests. I really enjoy working together in teams to accomplish goals.

What do you hope to learn as a Fellow?

As a Fellow, I hope to get a better understanding of the legislative process from “behind the scenes” and see all the work that goes into a single piece of legislation.

What are your future goals?

A future goal of mine is to live and work in Washington, D.C. after graduation.

What do you love most about Athens?

I love the culture and feel of Athens. Athens feels so big and small at the same time. There’s always new things to do and discover.

What is your favorite place in Athens?

North Campus, hands down. I absolutely love walking through North Campus whenever I can. Whenever friends and family visit the first thing I do is walk them through North Campus and the Founders’ Garden.

What are your hobbies outside of school and the Fellowship program?

I love reading, running and spending time with friends.

What is the last book you read?

A textbook. School is hard.

Coffee or tea?

I love coffee. Total coffee fan.

What has been your greatest experience during your college career?

A great experience that I recently had was traveling to Washington, D.C. a few weeks ago with some fellow students from Grady college and spending the week with people who have similar desires and ambitions. I had an amazing time and the trip gave me a firm perspective of what I would like to do in the future.

Also, during the 2013 football season when we beat LSU. GO DAWGS!

Best place to eat or favorite meal?

My friends and I love Taqueria del Sol off Prince Ave. It’s always good. If you don’t get the queso and guac you’re doing it wrong.

Why are you interested in politics?

I am interested in politics because I feel like politics and government is very important and necessary. I love serving and helping people so my interest in public relations, government and politics is a perfect fit.
